Character Styling Vol. 1

A new and inventive book series about the creation of characters for comics and many other applications - incl. CD-ROM Vol.1 - The CAT - is dedicated to the design of expressive and childish cat characters for comics, labels, textile and wallpaper designs, packaging and many more areas.

The appeal of the characters, details, patterns and labels lies in their simple, modern and imaginative style. They are free to be used and modified. Firstly the development of basic forms for the creation of typical characters and their expressions as well as their modification for different animations and perspectives is demonstrated and briefly commented.

Based upon this a wide range of possibilities is shown, how to arrange the characters in childish designs. All characters, details, logos and patterns can also be found as vectorized graphics on the enclosed CD-ROM.
